The Cranton Pendant is a magnificent statement piece, perfectly suited for hallways, bedrooms and sitting rooms. Eye-catching both when lit or unlit, there are two styles-the wider shaped Cranton Oval pendant and the deeper based Cranton Hexagonal pendant. Each version is made up of multiple, overlapping hexagon shaped bone china discs, which when lit, produce a warm, ambient light with striking forms and shadows. Fixture holds three 100 watt max dimmable bulbs.

Description: Pendant lamp comprised of individual bone china discs; three 100x watt bulbs illuminate even the largest of spaces. Cable length adjustable during installation to reach desired drop. For hardwiring into ceiling.

Production Process: Each bone china piece is manufactured according to traditional methods by our highly skilled team in Stoke-on-Trent, where now only a handful of ceramic factories exist. The process begins with a slip (clay and water mix) being poured into moulds. Once set, the moulds are split and the shade, base or ceiling rose is removed and left overnight to dry before being sponged and fettled to remove any imperfections. The items are finally biscuit fired or dipped in a glaze and gloss-fired for a natural white finish.

In 1990, challenged by the design limitations of cutlery, Peter Bowls went back to his roots opening Oxford-based lighting factory. “My goal was to design and produce lights that you are instantly at home with, that will fit comfortably for many years to come”. Peter was one of the first designers to capture the appeal of industrial styling and to use bone china shades for lighting.
