Paper World began as a producer of corrugated cardboard in 1960 in the Osaka prefecture of Japan. In 2016 the company established a lifestyle division to create products for the home. New York-based designer Becca Abbe was selected to work alongside Paper World's expert artisans to create the Layerboard Box collection.

Item Description: Each of these paper boxes consists of precisely engineered layers of paper - matte grey exterior layers with a brightly colored middle layer - which are meticulously mitered and glued for a nearly seamless surface. The making of these boxes requires an expert hand with fine mitering tools and can only be done by the most skilled craftspeople of Paper World. The result are exquisite minimalist and durable boxes to store or display special objects.
