Upglas transforms Murano glass remnants into one-of-a-kind sculptural table lamps, using Rehub’s low-impact process to create tactile, marbled forms that celebrate sustainability and glassmaking legacy.

Upglas is a story of transformation, where forgotten fragments of Murano glass are reimagined into sculptural light. Using a patented process by Rehub, leftover glass is ground into powder, combined with biodegradable resin, and shaped by hand like dough before being fired at low temperatures to reduce impact. The result is a smooth yet tactile surface, marbled with unique chromatic patterns that make every lamp one of a kind. Drawing on Murano’s legacy of glassmaking and Luca Nichetto’s passion for material experimentation, Upglas is both a visual statement and a sustainable innovation. Launched as table lamps in two shapes and four duo-toned colourways, it invites a new way of seeing beauty in design and in transformation.

Astep

Alessandro Sarfatti, inspired by his father's belief in perpetual progress, founded Astep, a company intertwining three generations of design ethos with modern lighting technology. With a rich family history in design, Alessandro's grandfather, Gino Sarfatti, revolutionized the lighting industry through Arteluce. His father, Riccardo, alongside his mother Sandra Severi, further innovated by blending design and technology with Luceplan. Astep creates new products for the home – objects that bring digital technologies to the forefront of our domestic lives. In addition, Astep revitalizes iconic works of Gino Sarfatti and Vittoriano Viganò, carrying on the Sarfatti family's enduring avant-garde spirit.
