Design Year: 1933

Production Process:  Vitreous Enamel is a glass surface fused to a steel substrate at very high temperatures - over 800°C. The process is referred to as wet enamelling and must be done by hand and is the most skillful type of enamelling. Multiple applications and firings build a thick glass surface with depth of colour. 

Materials: Vitreous enamelled steel shade.  Vitreous enamel finishes are VOC-free, durable, fade-proof, steam and corrosion resistant.
