The female cuckoo has an anti-social reputation, known to oust innocent songbird eggs from their nests, replacing them with her own. Once hatched the large cuckoo chick flexes its squatter's rights and removes the original inmates from the nest, to profit from the menu provided by his gullible foster parents. Collecting wild bird eggs is illegal, however The Chocolate Detective enthusiastically encourages the delectation of these exquisite, though not necessarily twitcher-accurate, chocolate eggs. Includes three of each, white, green, brown and blue eggs. BLUE and BROWN EGGS: Sugar, cocoa mass, caramel 12% (sugar, water, dextrose), whole MILK powder, cocoa butter, concentrated butter (MILK), glucose syrup, coating agents (gum arabic, Carnauba wax, beeswax, shellac), starches, emulsifier: SOYA lecithin, coloring foodstuffs (spirulina, apple, safflower, lemon, sweet potato and radish concentrates, malted BARLEY extract), "fleur de sel" salt, natural vanilla flavoring. Milk chocolate contains 30% cocoa min, 19% milk min. Dark chocolate contains 52% cocoa.
