The Old Cotswold Legbar, first bred in the early 1900s, is a cross between Leghorn and Barred hens. As well as a smart coat this hardy, predator-savvy hen is a great egg-layer, producing either pale blue or green eggs, as well as occasional white ones. Collecting wild bird eggs is illegal, however The Chocolate Detective enthusiastically encourages the delectation of these exquisite, though not necessarily twitcher-accurate, chocolate eggs. Includes six of each, blue and green eggs. BLUE EGGS: Sugar, cocoa mass, caramel 12% (sugar, water, dextrose), whole MILK powder, cocoa butter, concentrated butter (MILK), glucose syrup, coating agents (gum arabic, Carnauba wax, beeswax, shellac), starches, emulsifier: SOYA lecithin, coloring foodstuffs (spirulina, apple, safflower, lemon, sweet potato and radish concentrates, malted BARLEY extract), "fleur de sel" salt, natural vanilla flavoring. Milk chocolate contains 30% cocoa min, 19% milk min. Dark chocolate contains 52% cocoa.
