Toyama Homono - R5N Pruning Shears Pouch
A convenient and safe storage pouch for a multitude of Toyama Homono tools.
This shears pouch from Toyama Hamono is designed for convenience and versatility. You can hang it on your waist belt, suspend it from a fence, or wear it as a shoulder pouch with the included string—choose the storage style that suits you best. The genuine leather will change color and develop a rich patina with continued use, enhancing its character over time. This pouch is compatible with Toyama Hamono's pruning shears, snips, bonsai, Mekiri or Koeda Scissors, and Warabi ikebana floral shears. Models T33 and T34 are not compatible with this pouch.
To Toyama Homono, a good edge is about how the blade enters the branch or stem, how smoothly it moves through the cut, and how much control the user feels in the hand. They pay close attention to balance, blade contact, and finishing. A good tool should cut cleanly and move smoothly, without asking for more force than it should.
Every pair of Toyama Hamono shears is finished by hand, one at a time. That means fine adjustments no factory line can replicate are possible — the way the blades meet, the smoothness of the pivot, the overall balance when you pick them up. These details may seem small, but are noticeable them the moment you make your first cut.
These tools are not ment to be replaced. With proper care, a pair of Toyama Homono shears will serve you for many years. And as the handle wears to the shape of your grip and the action settles into a familiar rhythm, the tool becomes uniquely yours. They believe that is part of what makes a good tool worth owning.
