Introduced to Britain by the Romans, the hoarse call of the male Pheasant is loud and explosive and is usually followed by emphatic cackling as he takes to the air. Pheasants stay on the ground by day, roosting in trees over night. A handsome fellow, he has a long, slender and tapering tail and is dressed in the palette of autumn colors. Collecting wild bird eggs is illegal, however The Chocolate Detective enthusiastically encourages the delectation of these exquisite, though not necessarily twitcher-accurate, chocolate eggs. Includes six of each, white and green eggs. Milk chocolate contains 30% cocoa min, 19% milk min. Dark chocolate contains 52% cocoa minimum.
