IC Design

IC Design, based in Zurich, specializes in licensed reissues of design classics and forgotten works by renowned visionaries such as Man Ray, Sophie Taeuber-Arp, and Antonia Campi. The brand tells the story of a diverse world of objects, particularly toys from the 20th century, which were created to enrich and beautify life in times of growing efficiency and leisure.

Man Ray Chess

In this chess set, Man Ray translates the traditional pieces into pure geometric shapes, completely dispensing with classical, figurative features. Instead, the pieces consist of idealized, Euclidean basic shapes such as cubes, spheres, pyramids, and cones. As a Dadaist, he deliberately added an unusual element: the shape of the knight is based on an object he found in his studio—the headstock of a violin.

Ameico Classic

At the heart of our selection is an exclusive collection of special licensed reproductions produced by AMEICO. Many of these pieces or series were threatened with extinction and were saved thanks to our founder Peter. By putting them back into production, we are preserving their heritage and securing their place in design history.
