Established in 1969, in Osaka, Japan, Toyo Steel was the first company in the world to successfully developed a deep drawing technology to make a seamless steel toolbox from a single sheet of steel. Simple, durable and rugged, yet beautifully designed toolboxes with Japanese quality.
Toyo Steel has received the “Good Design Award” and “Long Life Design Award” and have been a cherished part of the Japanese culture for more than half a century.
Disclaimer: While many of us now use Toyo Steel Toolboxes in our homes and proudly display them, they were originally designed for use in workshops, garages, and industrial environments. As a result, they are painted rather than powder coated and do not have a clear protective topcoat.
Please note that small imperfections in the paint finish may fall within Toyo's quality control tolerances, and that over time, chips, scratches, and signs of wear can develop with regular use. These marks are part of the toolbox's inherent character and we like to think of it as patina.
